Members of former girl band Spice Girls are planning a reunion for 20th anniversary of the band next year.

The band included Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham.

Mel B, 38, is eager to get the girls back on stage, but she is yet to persuade Victoria into working on the project, reports dailystar.co.uk.

About the reunion, Mel B said: “I hope so. I just had a conversation with Melanie C, so hopefully things will get moving. We got together for the Olympics and we managed to pull that one off.”

The group had last collaborated for the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. Victoria had joined them too.

“Mel sees the 20th anniversary as a huge milestone and perhaps a real last chance to have the girls on stage,” said a source, adding: “But Posh was very hesitant about doing anything after the Olympics. As time ticks, her interest wanes.”
