The HBO original series Game of Thrones will have its season 6 finale on Monday. The penultimate episode ‘Battle of Bastards’ did give us closure on some questions -- the triumph of the Starks, the death of the hated Ramsay Bolton – and answers to some questions: what happened to Benjen Stark? Is the Hound alive? Where did the White Walkers come from? Will Kit Harrington look good with a man-bun? But it s also left a lot of loose ends.

Let’s take a look at some of the most important questions that need to be answered in the finale.

1. What’s up with the Red Woman?

Seriously, now. The season started with the mindboggling transformation of Melisandre into an old woman. What to make of the image of the Red Woman being an old crone? Had she been in disguise all along? We were so taken up with all the wars and dragons that we forgot all these questions. We need the answers. Now.

2. Who are Jon Snow’s parents?

Well, the internet has already spoilt it enough for us. We know the R+L=J equation. Bran and the Three-Eyed-Raven take a walk back into the past and visit the Tower of Joy, where Lynna Stark was during Robert Baratheon’s rebellion. We learnt that the most noble Lord Eddard Stark was capable of lying too (in case you missed it, he lied about single handedly killing the legendary swordsman Ser Arthur Dayne, when in fact his comrade stabbed him in the back). Could he have also lied about Lynna and Rhaegar being a consensual couple? Maybe she died giving birth to Jon? Bran should follow his father up there and let us find out.

3. Will Sansa marry Lord Petyr Baelish?

Before becoming dog food, Ramsay told Sansa she would never be free of him and he would always be a part of her. If that’s true, does that mean Sansa is pregnant with Ramsay’s child? Maybe she will marry Little Finger and pass the kid off as his? We all know Baelish would do anything to be any king, let alone King in the North.

4. Do we still care about Dorne?

With all of this going on, do we really care about Dorne? Nah.

5. Will Cersei be found guilty?

No more trial by combat, no more chance of #CleganeBowl. What can an ally-less queen do? Not much. Tommen and Cersei seem to be in trouble. But, if Tommen dies, who takes the iron throne? Missing the Baratheon bastard Gendry? Sorry, character not found.

6. Did Bran build the Wall?

So, now we know Bran can worg into anyone, he can go into the past and even influence events back in time. We already know the story of Brandon Stark who built the Wall thousands of years ago, and founded the House of Stark. Those were Bran’s favourite bedtime stories. Could he be the one who built the Wall?

7. Where’s Arya going?

“A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I’m going home”, were her words the last we saw her on screen. Did she kill the Waif? It’s GoT, so unless we see the heads on spikes or corpses burning, we don’t believe people are dead. Is the Waif disguised as Arya going to Westeros, or is it the real deal?

8. Is Dany really going to Westeros?

Daenerys is all set with advisors, armies, wooden horses (ships), allies, and most of all control of her dragons! Is she ready to take over Westeros with her new found partner Yara of the Iron Islands? Is Dany the true queen Westeros needs and deserves?

9. What is Margaery’s real plan?

The much adored queen seems to have become the High Sparrow’s female version. The dust settled only when she passed a sketch of the rose (sigil of House Tyrell) to her grandmother Olenna Tyrell. Olenna took that as a clear sign to leave King’s Landing, but what should we make of it? If history is any evidence, the sweet beloved queen Margaery is plotting to kill the High Sparrow to avenge herself and her brother.

10. Some heroes hold doors and others open them.

Hodor? Hodor.
