WASHINGTON: The fans went crazy, when Jon Snow met Daenerys Targaryen in ‘Game of Thrones,’ but the actors were not quite thrilled about it.
Emilia Clarke, who portrays the role of Daenaerys, opened about her first meeting with Kit Harington on the sets of ‘Game of Thrones’ and labelled the meeting as “weird” for both of them.
“Both of us were going, ‘Ahhh! What are you doing on my set!? This is weird! There’s another Heir in town, and I don’t like it!” said Clarke.
Harington, who plays Jon Snow agreed and shared, “We were both kind of freaking out,” and he even needed a bit of assistance recalling some key details of Dany’s storyline, “I asked Emilia what her dragons were called again.”
Both actors were quite conscious about their characters meeting for the first time on the show, however, of fandom pressure on the scene.
Harington noted, “Usually you start working on a movie and meet [a co-star] for the first time and you develop chemistry on screen over time."
"Here, you know somebody for seven years and you’ve watched their character on screen all that time. So it’s a unique experience as an actor to come together and know the world is watching.”
