JOHANNESBURG: Months after American musician Chris Cornell’s death, his widow has revealed that in the memory of the late Soundgarden Frontman, a statue will be built in his hometown Seattle.

Vicky Cornell said that she has hired artist and sculptor Wayne Toth, who also created a statue of Johnny Ramone, to create the memorial that will take about seven months to be completed, reports Channel24.

Vicky added that a family friend and attorney is working with the city on finding a suitable location for the statue.

As per reports, the 52-year-old hanged himself in a Detroit hotel hours after a Soundgarden concert in May.
