Action-veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger has said that he’ll come back to the Terminator and Conan franchises. The actor made this announcement while promoting the documentary Wonders of the Sea 3D - which he narrates - during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival at Nikki Beach, Cannes.

Schwarzenegger confirmed the new Terminator movie with a reference to his famous line from the film, saying, “It is back”, and revealed that he’d met director-producer James Cameron to discuss the project. “It is moving forward.

He (Cameron) has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise and I will be in the movie,” the actor added. Starting with the first film in 1984, the franchise has seen 5 films till date and also gave birth to a spin-off television series - The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

About the Conan movies, the actor said, “It’s being rewritten, the idea is to do it.” The Conan franchise so far consists of two films Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Conan the Destroyer (1984). A third entry in the trilogy, Conan the Conqueror, was planned for a 1987 release, but never materialised.

In early 2016, Schwarzenegger had said the film would happen and the announcement at Cannes is thought to refer to this film.

He also confirmed that the Triplets project, the sequel to 1986 comedy Twins, could go into production this year. “The script will be finished in a month. It’s just around the corner,” he said.
The sequel will have Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy along with Schwarzenegger, and the original producer-director Ivan Reitman is also expected to be a part of the project.
