LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is reviewing a sexual assault case against Kevin Spacey.

The case was completed and presented by the LA County Sheriff's Department on April 5, Variety reported.

According to the Sheriff's Dept, the incident, which involved an adult male, allegedly occurred in October 1992 in West Hollywood.

The allegations were investigated by Special Victims Bureau from December 11.

Spacey was sacked from the Netflix hit series "House of Cards" after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making an unwanted sexual advance towards him when he was a minor after he attended a party at the veteran's (who was 26 at the time) New York apartment in 1986.

The Oscar-winning actor, then, issued a controversial statement in response to Rapp in which he simultaneously came out and said he did not remember behaving inappropriately with him.

In another blow, Spacey was replaced by Christopher Plummer in Ridley Scott's "All the Money in the World".

Allegations of sexual misconduct were levelled against the actor since by numerous men in America and in England.

Scotland Yard is investigating at least three sexual assault complaints against Spacey.

The actor's representatives declined to comment.
