Pinar Toprak becomes first woman composer to bag a Marvel film

'Captain Marvel' is the first female-fronted film in the Marvel Universe that will be solely based on a female superhero.

WASHINGTON D.C: American-Turkish composer Pinar Toprak has bagged herself a Marvel Studios film, which has earned her the title of 'First woman composer to score a Marvel film'.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Toprak will score superhero fantasy-action film, 'Captain Marvel'. Actress Brie Larson will play the role of the powerful superhero.

'Captain Marvel' is the first female-fronted film in the Marvel Universe that will be solely based on a female superhero.

Toprak, excited about joining the Marvel Universe, shared her enthusiasm on Instagram.

She wrote, "I'm so thrilled to finally announce that I will be scoring the upcoming CAPTAIN MARVEL! It's an incredible honor to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So many thoughts racing through my head. And the main one is gratitude. I have so many people to thank for helping me on this journey but first and foremost, my incredible agents Laura Engel and Richard Kraft for believing in me from day one and Dave Jordan and directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime. #captainmarvel".

Toprak has 'Krypton' and video game 'Fornite' in her credit.

'Captain Marvel' revolves around the superhero that gets caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the film boasts of an ensemble cast including Ben Mendelsohn, Samuel L. Jackson, Annette Bening, Djimon Hounsou, Jude Law, Lee Pace, and Gemma Chan.

The film is slated to hit the theaters on March 08, 2019.
