Payal's b-town debut may soon see light of the day

It looks like Payal Ghosh’s Bollywood dreams may soon be reality as her long due debut Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi is expected to release this November.

Payal is paired opposite Vir Das in the movie, which also features senior actors like Prem Chopra, Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal.

The young actress who started her career with Prayanam in Telugu, has worked with Junior NTR in Oosaravelli and also worked in a Kannada film, Varshadhare  directed by Vemagal Jagannatharao. An excited Payal says, “Me coming from a conservative Bengali family, tinsel town was quite a distance dream for me. Since, I always believed in destiny, I was confident of making it to films, but B-Town was a dream, until it happened two years ago. Though the film shooting was delayed, I am now eagerly waiting to see its release.”

The film made under Bolenath movies, is a  romantic comedy where Payal plays a Gujarati girl from a conservative family.

“This role  shows me in a character that is a stark contrast to the ones I’ve played in my previous films. It is not a glamorous role and allows me to prove my acting skills. Sharing screen space with senior actors - Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal was a blessing,” she says.

The actress has a Telugu and a Hindi film in pipeline, which she says will be announced officially once she signs on the dotted line.
