Abhijit Ghoshal and Shaan go a long way back when Shaan was the host of SaReGaMaPa and Abhijit was a contestant who had created a record by winning 11 consecutive episodes back then. Very recently Shaan and Abhijit have collaborated for a single “Meri Pyaari Gudiya”. This composition by Abhijit , Aniket and Adil is for the cause “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and they had in mind none other than Shaan to lend his voice for the song. It all began two months ago when Abhijit sent the scratch of the song to Shaan. Shaan instantly loved it and agreed on singing it. Abhijit adds, “I had no doubt that this song would rock in Shaan’s voice. Had a lot of other people in mind too but Shaan was our priority. Everything was decided but Shaan was really busy with his shoot and travel but eventually all fell in place and we have the song like we wanted it to be”.
Agreeing, Shaan says, “I created an instant liking towards the song the very moment I heard it and then knowing that it is for “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” made it even more special. All I can say now is that I am really happy to be associated with Meri Pyaari Gudiya and the campaign to tell people how important it is to save girlchild and educate them”.
