Though Emraan Hashmi is generally very reticent when it comes to his personal life, he has co-authored a deeply personal book Kiss Of Life -- How A Superhero & My Son Defeated Cancer and is willing to share details of his life in a cathartic effort to help others.   

The actor maintains, “I have always kept my personal life away from professional life, But it’s very important to give each one its due otherwise both suffer. It’s important for my sanity to disconnect from the glam business and attend to a simpler life that I also enjoy. 

An emotional Emraan says, “The books is about my son’s journey with cancer, and it’s about my initial years in the industry and my school and college days with the changes that my son’s cancer brought about in me. The book also tries to give information to people about tackling the disease. I am toying with the idea of extending my book into a documentary film.”
