Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has commenced her badminton training in order to play the role of celebrated badminton player, Saina Nehwal. Her training will be under the supervision of a senior coach of the prestigious Prakash Padukone academy. Shraddha, who recently completed her portions for Apoorva Lakhia’s Haseena Parkar biopic, will reportedly also be spending a lot of time with Saina to familiarise herself with the latter's mannerisms.

Meanwhile, Amole too will be prepping for the film in an extensive manner. The director has already spent about a year-and-a-half on research, as part of which he has visited Saina in her hometown, Hyderabad, quite a few times. He has also collected a number of videos to understand her personality. The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, will be directed by Amole Gupte and will be shot from the end of this year.
