“I'm a huge foodie, but I have to stay disciplined throughout the week,” says Tiger Shroff without a tinge of regret.
The first thing I have in the morning:
A glass of water with apple cider vinegar and a glass of warm turmeric water.
I breakfast on:
I don't usually eat breakfast. I train on an empty stomach. I have my first meal post that which is usually protein and fibre.
My diet preference:
I am a non-vegetarian.
My favourite food:
If I'm being healthy, steak or sushi. Otherwise, it has to be ice cream!
My lunch:
All my meals are usually the same, so protein and fibre. Usually mutton and vegetables.
An accompaniment I must have with my meals:
None. Since I can't indulge in sauces or too much masala, I tend to keep my food quite bland.
My Sunday lunch:
My family tries to have family lunches most Sundays (It's been tougher to get together these days since dad and I have been shooting), but when we do go out, it's mostly for sushi since that's both my sister, Krishna and my favourite.
To stay healthy I eat:
I just make sure I eat a lot of vegetables high in fibre as they help with digestion.
To stay healthy I don’t eat:
I stay away from oily foods, foods high in sodium, or anything with sugar.
My evening snack:
If not a protein shake, then I like to snack on Macadamia nuts.
My dinner:
Again, this will be the same as breakfast and lunch (protein and fibre).
My favourite dessert:
Ice cream! I've been indulging in vanilla macaroons on most cheat days.
My favourite fruit:
I have never been too big on fruits.
My favourite beverage:
In my growing up days, dad and mom made it a point to never keep soda in the fridge, so I'm extremely grateful to them for that since sodas can get super addictive. I guess it'll just have to be water or green tea.
A childhood memory connected to food:
I remember, I was quite underweight as a kid, but Krishna wasn't. We would order McDonalds on Sundays and I remember mom's voice on the phone ordering one burger for herself, one for me, and three for Krishna. Dad was never into fast food.
My culinary abilities:
I wouldn't want to lie to you and tell you I know how to cook, but I should learn a thing or two from dad. He’s an amazing cook and extremely good in the kitchen! He wanted to become a chef before joining the film industry.
My favourite cook in the world:
My dad is an amazing cook. Everything he makes is superb!
My comfort food:
Ice cream, chocolates, cookies, cake, etc. Anything sweet!
I feel guilty after eating:
I don't usually feel guilty because I deserve that cheat at the end of the week.
My favourite spice:
Black pepper.
My favourite dish:
I love Japanese food, so either a Wagyu steak or a big platter of salmon sushi.
