Rishika arrives on TV with talk show

The latest to enter the small screen with a chat show is actress Rishika Singh. 'Ragale with Rishika' will go on floors in September. The actress who is excited about the show tells us that she wanted to do something hatke, other than acting.

“I never wanted to be monotonous with just acting. I always wanted to do something different. In fact, I want to produce, direct and be at the edit desk too. Somewhere I feel my father, Rajendra Singh Babu, has kept his hand on my head as I have a creative bend like him,” she says.

Rishika’s chat show will be in line with that of Lakshmi Manchu’s chat show in Telugu. “More than Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan, I am inspired by Lakshmi Manchu’s show. Celebrities will not say no to come on Karan Johar’s show as he is a big name. But Lakshmi and I are industry kids, who are friends with the industry folks. Like Lakshmi, even my show will have my friends,” she explains.

It was Rishika’s concept, which the show director, Tarun took forward to the channel. “This one channel liked my concept. I will not be an actress nor an anchor but will just be having a chat with actors as friends,” says Rishika, whose motive is to connect with the industry.

“Actors with whom I have interacted for the show will share experiences which they may never have revealed on camera. Recently I shot with Harshika Ponacha and Shubha Poonja, who told me a lot of experiences which they haven’t told anybody and that’s because I am in cordial terms with everybody. Though I have worked in an ensemble cast, surprisingly I have never felt jealous of other heroines in the industry. I treat them as friends,” she tells us.

Initially, Rishika will chat with the younger bunch and then move on to the senior actors. “I thought of starting with the actors of my age as I wanted to be easy on the couch. I have completed a few episodes with Sreekanth, Prajwal Devaraj, and Haripriya,” says this young lass, who might also have Aindrita and Diganth on the show.

“Everyone will be treated the same on my show including my dad and brother. I will not have any married couple or cliche combinations,” she concludes.
