Engeyum... to be remade in Kannada

T amil romantic drama titled Engeyum Eppothum which spoke about two love stories will be remade in Kannada with Ravichandran's brother Balaji who has grabbed the remake rights of the film. The original version directed by M Saravanan and produced by A R Murugadoss had  got great reviews.

"The story is really impressive, which talks about a journey of two couples. I was really interested to do the Kannada version as it showed love in a different perspective,” said Balaji.

Apart from being a producer, Balaji is also an actor. Having not taken up any project for the past two years, will Balaji reprise one of the hero's characters in the film? "I am still in two minds whether to act in the film as both the characters are quite soft.

Right now my brother-in-law Narasimhan wants to launch his son Vivek through this film and I would like to produce it," explained Balaji, who plans to start shoot for the film sometime around January .

Balaji is also looking for a strong script to make a come back. "Scripts keep coming but nothing seems to be exciting enough. I don't want to do regular films. I am still waiting for that powerful story," clarifies Balaji, who is fine with the fact he is making an appearance once in a while.

"That is where I stand apart from other actors in the industry. But next year, you will see a series of films from our  product house that will come under  Eshwari banner," he concludes.
