BANGALORE: Dhruv Sarja's much awaited film Bahadhur with Radhika Pandit as the female lead, has finally wrapped up its shoot. The crew recently shot two songs in Malaysia.
Chetan debuts as a director with this film and says, "Finally the result looks much better than what I expected. All thanks to the RS production House that took over the project and allowed me to fulfill my dreams. Now, every one is satisfied. I am now gearing up to release the audio during the first week of August. This will be followed by the film's release, which I hope will be in September." Most of the CG and DTS work of the film is happening in Chennai.
Dhruv recalls the shoot in Malaysia and says, "Professionally, we did a good job but personally it was tiresome as the whole shoot happened in scorching climes. It was almost 43 degree Celsius. Everybody who worked on the song sequences suffered from dehydration. We couldn't find a single shaded place and help came from the dancers who sheltered us all the time."
Dhruv is happy that his second film is now completely ready and in post production stages. "We have four songs choreographed by Harsha who has given signature steps to each dance number. This is the first time, I have danced sans makeup. It was an instruction by Harsha master and I followed it," he says, adding, "Though the film has been in the making for a very long time, Bahadhur still enjoys the buzz created by the fight sequences of Ravi Varma and Ganesh Master. None of the fights have dupes and all stunts have been done by me. I have given my hundred per cent to this film. Hope our efforts pay off."
Director Chetan says, "Starade Neenu is a fun song where we have concentrated on giving different meanings to the word Bahadhur. We used 15 dancers and shot for three days in Kuala Lampur. The highlight of the song will be Dhruv's dance steps."
As for the Subbalakshmi... song, the crew chose Putrajaya because the ambience of the place matches the classic and fusion number. "Putrajaya is more like Delhi and its historic structures served as good backdrops for our song. Subbalakshmi... will see Radhika in a totally traditional look and Dhruv will be mostly westernised," explains Chetan.
He further adds, "I have tried new choreography that matches the music provided by V Harikrishna. Even though people in Malaysia were strangers to our language, they still enjoyed the beats."
