Chandan Happy to Sweat it Out for Love You Alia

Chandan is putting in a lot of  effort to look the part for his role as a young 22-year-old in  director Indrajit Lankesh’s Love You Alia. According to Chandan, he had to transform himself from a regular guy to a fit and energetic youngster aged between 22-23 years. Chandan needed to prepare for this new look before the crew started their second schedule from November 17. Chandan is more than happy to sweat it out in order to make his character seem authentic and is following a regular workout routine. This is quite a challenge for the actor who is also busy shooting for his TV serial Lakshmi Baramma. "I have not only been asked to look like I am 22 years old but also have to make sure that I look like a fit 22-year-old with a perfectly toned and tanned body. In order to achieve this, I have already lost some  weight as well as gone in for a more stylish makeover," says Chandan, who is all out to please the director.

"Indrajit being a stylish man is also particular about every actor’s look in his film. He will not get tired of retakes and will not be satisfied until he gets the right shot. I have to fulfil whatever he wants from me mainly because this is a big-budget film and he has invested in a newcomer like me. Thus it is up to me to make sure that I justify my character in his film. Though I had to let go of my intake of rice and other carbs, when I see myself in the mirror now, I feel that it has paid off. Indrajit has allowed me to change my whole look for the better," he says.

The actor who has had first-hand experience of working with Indrajit in the first schedule, was happy to meet actors like Ravichandran, Bhumika Chawla and Dhyaan (in a guest appearance) on the sets. "My views towards Ravichandran changed after I started interacting with him. He is not what I thought of him and is so grounded with no starry attitude. He is a very friendly person and is cordial with everybody. It was fun being with him on the sets. The interesting fact, I got to hear about Ravichandran is that he doesn’t drink or smoke and has only ever done so for a particular role in a film," says Chandan.

The actor who has worked in five films till date, has only a single release Parineya to his credit at the moment. He is waiting for the release of

Erodlonda Mooru and has completed the shoot for the sports film Bangalore-23 and Om Prakash Rao’s political thriller Katte.
