Sathish to Get a Makeover in Rocket

Actor Ninasam Sathish launches Rocket today, which will be his maiden venture under his production company,  Sathish Picture House. “Rocket directed by Shivashashi is all about ‘nonstop love’, which also is the the tagline of the movie. A group of friends, mostly youngsters, have come together to set up this production house and we thought Rocket was the right kind of film to start off,” says Sathish.

The actor has been looking for an image makeover and has finally managed to do so with this film which brings a new freshness to his character. “I will be seen as a young, modern and stylish boy, who has just passed out from college. It is a look to suit the now generation and is very trendy and young,” he explains.

It was the young team’s inputs that makes Rocket look  different from the other youth films, says Sathish. “We spent around  `2 to 3 three lakh on the photoshoot, which was shot inside the Race Course, Brigade Road and a few other places. The muhurath of Rocket will take place today and we will start rolling the film towards the end of November. Most probably it will be after my other film Love in Mandya hits the theatres around November 28. The shoot of Rocket will take place in Bengaluru and Madikere,” he says.

Sathish who established himself in films like Drama and Lucia, got a bit stereotyped after he got stuck with similar characters in other films. The chance of doing something different outweighed the risks of starting his own production company. “I have mostly been offered films, that are set against the backdrop of Mandya, which is good. But after a while, the plot was getting boring both for me and for my audience. Thankfully, I got together a group of youngsters who worked at giving me a different look and a different role for this film. Poornachandra Tejasvi, the music director of Lucia, will be working for this film. Young talent Adwaita Gurumurthy is the cinematographer. The songs will be choreogrpahed by Harsha and Murali. I have two major action sequences in the film, which will be choreographed by Ravi Varma. Aishani Shetty who has just finished Yograj Bhat’s Vaastu Prakara is the heroine of our film.A search for a second heroine for the film is currently on. Sanchina Heggar will be designing the costumes for our film. Since it is our team’s first venture, we have done a lot of homework, before hand. Now is the time for execution,” he says.
