Plus (+) Will Be the Next Stage for Chetan to Show His Skills

This actor has done only six films and he is already becoming popular. Chetan Chandra has been given the chance to work in Gadda Vijji’s ambitious project, Plus (+) made under Yogaraj Bhat’s banner. The director was taken in by his talent. According to him, Chetan is a good actor who only needed a good platform. This also indicates that Chetan has risen to become one of the upcoming talents in Sandalwood. When we asked Gadda Viji why he had Chetan in mind for a role in Plus (+), he said, “I consider Chetan a good actor who has unfortunately not been recognised yet. Since I am also on the same path of looking for success, I thought of choosing him to be part of my project, so that both of us would make a splash in the years to come. Having watched his previous films, I felt that he was very dedicated to his craft and so he was roped in,” he says.

Chetan who has silently started shooting for the film which also stars veteran actor Anant Nag, considers it a plus point in his career. “I started my career with film, PUC in 2008 but actually I was recognised only with Premism in 2010, followed by films like Kumbha Rashi, Rajadhani and the latest being Huchuhudugaru. Having bagged a project like Plus (+), I feel that my patience has paid off and my efforts are turning fruitful,” he says.

Though the crew is yet to reveal his new look in Plus (+), Chetan says that he plays  a character which has never considered by any other actor before and the role will be experimented for the first time on him. “I play Anant Nag’s son in the film and my role has no comparison to any previous characters in Kannada films and is path-breaking in that sense. Working with an actor like Anant Nag, is a super advantage. I have worked with him in Premism and this will be my second film, the only difference is that I have a longer role in Plus (+). This apart, I am working with actors like Rajesh, Sudharani, Suchendra Prasad among others. I am working for a good production house and with a positive team. This film has everything that   entertainment requires,” he says.

The Plus (+) team will go on a break soon and start their next schedule from December 15. Meanwhile, Chetan will be working on his bilingual project (Nindru Kolavan in Tamil and Vyrgra in Kannada). “The film is directed by AR Murugadoss’s associate VP Shankar. I also have another long pending project Biscuit, for which I have to squeeze in dates, in between these schedules,” he says.

Gadda Viji is also introducing newcomers Ritesh and Tollywood actres Shalini in Plus (+).
