Doodh Sagar, helmed by newcomer Samuel Taylor and introducing actors Akshay and Deepika Das also happens to be the first production of Chamundeshwari Studio and Lab. This film of and by newbies is not as much about the popular tourist spot as it is about the purity of love. The director says, "Love can be compared to milk, which is white and pure. Thus it is a perfect title for this film about true love. "
The director also mentions that although the film has not been shot in Doodh Sagar, it captures some other gorgeous outdoor locations in Karnataka, which also brings in an essence of rain and romance to the film.
The first time director fortunately, did not find it hard to shoot his first film mainly because he had enough experienced hands as technicians on his film. "We had some good hands like Nagesh Acharya and Gowtham Srivatsav as the music director who have had a whole lot of experience and the rest of the team also gave good support in making this a good film," says Samuel. He added, "I am not saying that Doodh Sagar will be an extra ordinary film that has never been seen before. In fact, it is something that deals with stuff that happens in our daily life. However, it will remind people of the old and popular Kannada films. I have followed the classic style while directing the film and it will be evident both in terms of its subject and in the making," he says.
Doodh Sagar that will release in theatres this week, will see Akshay taking cue from the Jackie Chan school of action, and we hear that he has managed to do all the stunts by himself! Deepika Das will be seen in a double role in this film playing the parts of a village belle and a college going girl.
