R Chandru’s Lakshmana has reached the dubbing stages and the director is getting ready with the teaser of the film starring Anup and Meghana Raj. What is more exciting for Chandru is that the teaser is going to be launched by South India’s ace director SS Rajamouli. Revealing the looks of the hero and heroine to City Express, Chandru says, “It is an opportunity to show our work to Rajamouli. The digital intermediate work for the teaser is currently going on in Mumbai and hopefully we will be ready within the next ten days.”

Talking about his lead actors, Chandru states that Anup was an ideal choice. “He has a deep  voice, which is apt for dubbing and I am sure it will become one of the best in the

Kannada industry. Though he is a fresher, he did not falter. He takes everything as a challenge and pushes himself,” says the director, who is left with three more songs for the film to be completed. “We have planned a few good locations for the song shoot which will be shot this month,” he adds.

About Meghana Raj, Chandru is confident that she will usher in a new freshness as she pairs with Anup. “The moment I thought of Lakshmana, I knew she would be the perfect heroine. In fact,  a few industry people questioned my choice. Now, after seeing the rushes of Lakshmana, they realised my reason to choose Meghana. Secondly, with Anup as a fresher, I was particular to have a Kannada heroine as I didn’t want to create any confusion by bringing an outsider. She has perfectly justified her role in the film,” he asserts. Lakshmana also sees Ravichandran in the role of  a cop.
