The makers of a yet-to-be-titled film produced by K Manju and directed by Mahesh Rao, hope to see the duo back on screen
Radhika and Yash Back Again?

Very few pairs in Sandalwood have a history of sizzling on-screen chemistry. In recent times, the only such pairing has been that of Yash and Radhika Pandit.

Right from their first film, Moggina Manasu, which they followed up with Drama and then Mr and Mrs Ramachari, the pair had set the box office registers ringing by just starring opposite each other. Now we hear that the makers of Yash’s next yet-to-be-titled project, to be produced by K Manju and directed Mahesh Rao, have decided to rope in Radhika Pandit as well.

According to sources, the pair has been on the wishlist of many directors and producers. “The production house will approach Radhika while the director is keeping his fingers crossed for a green signal from her,” they said.

When contacted, director Mahesh Rao said, “I am not in a position to reveal any details until I have the cast on board.”

The film was intended as a remake of Vaalu. However, the subject has undergone a sea- change and the director clarifies that the film now deals with an original subject and can no longer be called a remake.

“During discussions with the actors and the production team, we came up with our own beautiful subject and have decided to go with it,” says Mahesh.

“Adityaa was initially considered to reprise his role of the villain he played in the Tamil version with Simbu as the protagonist. Now the subject is dropped, but he is still on board and will play a negative rolein the film.”

While Yash has almost completed the talky portions for Masterpiece and is all set to start off with the song shoot for Manju Mandavya’s directorial, Radhika has completed her pending project Zoom, with Ganesh and is now busy with Dodmane Huduga, directed by Suri and starring Puneeth Rajkumar.
