Jaggu Dada Has a New Address

For the first time, an Indian film has been shot in Pompeii, Italy, says director Raghavendra Hegde.

The makers of Jaggu Dada, who recently visited Italy for song shoot, are happy to have completed it in picture-perfect  locations. They considered five locations each for two songs, mostly shot in Vespa, Matera and surrounding areas. They were  excited to have  found a new location to shoot.

“For the first time, an Indian film was shot in Pompeii. The location has not yet been explored by any film-maker. It is  situated near the coast of the Bay of Naples that features excavated ruins buried after the volcanic eruption. We managed to  seek permission from the govermnment of Italy and we were charged ` 5 lakh  a day of shooting. We didn’t mind paying a  hefty sum because of the extraordinary location,” says director Raghavendra Hegde, who is also the producer of the film.

With only six days left for shooting, Raghavendra Hegde is close to completing the project. “We plan a mega audio launch in May and want to release the film in the same month,” he says. Meanwhile, a unique motion poster of Jaggu Dada will be released on the occassion of Ugadi. 

The most awaited film of Darshan is an action-comedy. The film that has an ensemble  cast sees Deeksha Seth in the female lead  The music is by V Harikrishna and cinematography by HC Venu.
