The makers of Simplag Innondu Love Story seem to be playing heavily on nostalgia, having managed to reserve a release date of March 4, almost exactly three years after Simple Agi Ondh Love Story, which released on March 8, 2013. "According to director Suni, the release date to the sequel of the experimental film, which changed the dynamics and the economics of filmmaking in Sandalwood, was decided to bring back the similarity, which otherwise is in complete contrast with the script and casting.

We decided to bring back the sentimental feel by getting the same release period, says Suni.

Meanwhile, the audio launch is planned for Feburary 18. While Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story saw Rakshit Shetty and Shwetha Srivatsav, the sequel sees Praveen and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead roles.
