Nicole faria on Tathastu and a Turkish Delight

Model-turned actress Nicole Faria has now turned entrepreneur. She and her mother Anita Faria have started a beauty and wellness centre, Tathastu. "It was my mother's idea and I am actually her brand ambassador," says Nicole.

Nicole, who is based out of Bengaluru, was the first woman from India to be crowned Miss Earth in 2010. The actress later entered tinsel town with a Bollywood film Yaariyan and then was part of Katti Batti. She made it to the international scene with a Turkish film, Bir Baba Hindu which, she says, was released in Europe a couple of months ago. "I am excited to learn from the filmmakers that they are dubbing the film in Hindi and planning its release in India in the next two months," says Nicole.

Apparently the young talent was selected for this film after her very first audition. "I was told that they auditioned around 2,000 girls in Mumbai, and I was the last one to walk in. They were impressed by my dialogue delivery," she says.

The actress says her role in that was de-glam. "The film is a mafia comedy, and I play a yoga teacher training the mafia to be calmer and love life. There is comedy, there is romance and all elements required for a good entertainer," says Nicole. "My mother also has a guest role in Bir Baba Hindu, playing my aunt," she adds.

Back in Bollywood, the actress has signed on a film but can't reveal much of it because of a contract she has signed. "As of now, I can only say, it is a youth-centered, realistic film and I will start some time end of December," says Nicole, adding, "There are also a lot of offers from the south, and I am busy sitting for narrations"
