The 3Peg music video by rapper Chandan Shetty featuring Aindrita Ray has crossed 5.4 million views on YouTube and according to the music director, the single has been a hit in pubs in Dubai and has been most viewed by those in the UK, California, Canada.
Following this popular wave, Chandan is now getting ready for his next single — Chocolate Girl which he says is being made on his fans’ demand. “I have been getting almost 200 messages asking when will be my next single, and I would want to present them with a Chocolate girl,” he says.
With the music video to be shot from December 15, Chandan has approached the Masterpiece heroine, Shanvi Srivastava, who will in all likely feature in the video song. “I happened to meet Shanvi at a TV show and she has heard of my singles and my passion towards rap music. She is keen to work with me and I have approached her in that hope,” he says.
Chandan’s idea of a Chocolate Girl is one who ‘has all the attitude and isn’t available to anyone’ and our video will be shot on those lines,” he explains. Interestingly, the rapper, who is shooting on Nice Road in Bengaluru and Mysuru plans for a heritage backdrop that explores the beauty of Karnataka. “I want to highlight the culture of our state and especially Mysuru, which has a rich background. I will try and blend my song with the Chocolate Girl and heritage, My intention to shoot at these specific locations is to promote Karnataka tourism.
Chandan has conducted auditions and has selected a few good models, who will be part of the song sequence. The music director, has also been busy doing promotions songs too including films such as Seizer, Sanjeeva and Gaanchali.
