The Villain’s satellite rights sold for Rs 7.3 crore

Prem’s upcoming directorial, which is still being shot, has already raked in good business. Trade has high expectations from this Kannada film starring Shivarajkumar, Sudeep and Amy Jackson. The film has already fetched good money from sale of its satellite rights. Prem, who could not hold back his excitement, tweets:

“TheVillain rights sold for recrod numbers, comparable 2 Telugu & Tamil!” and he goes on to thank the artistes and producers who are part of the film. Though he doesn’t mention the amount, according to industry sources, Zee Channel has bought the rights of the film for a whooping ` 7.3 crore, which is definitely on par with other south Indian films. The film has already fetched ` 5.4 crore for Hindi rights.

Meanwhile, director Prem who is back from London is currently in Mumbai hunting for a location to set the first song shoot with Sudeep.
