Chaya Singh makes a come back with Mufti

Sriimurali starrer Mufti created quite the hype, when senior actor Shivarajkumar was brought on board.

The film is now meant to generate another round of buzz with the team roping in popular Kannada heroine Chaya Singh.

This will be a comeback film for the actress, with her last outing in Kannada cinema being in 2008.

Although not much has been revealed about her character in Mufti, City Express hears she plays a pivotal role and has been taking part  in the shoots. More details will be revealed by the makers in the coming days. The film also stars Shanvi Srivastava in the female lead with Vasishta Simha playing the antagonist.  

Chaya started her film career in Sandalwood and has acted in some memorable films such as Thuntata and Akashagange. She is also an established actress in other south Indian languages and has been busy on the small screen with teleserials. It is nice to see the talented actress back in Kannada.

Mufti,which is now in the last leg of shoot will be Narthan’s directorial debut. The film is set to be completed in the following schedule. Made under Jayanna Combines, the film  has music by Ravi Basrur and Naveen as its cinematographer.
