The team, behind the movie which is go on floors from December 20, has been scouting for a heroine and they were particular about having a Kannada actress on board. After considering a few actresses, they have decided on Rachita Ram. The filmmakers were clearly looking for a heroine who can look good in the traditional, next-door-girl garb for this family entertainer. An official announcement is yet to be made by Channambika Productions.

Rachita has interesting films in her kitty. The actress is currently shooting for Johnny Johnny Yes Papa and will follow it up with Ayogya. For the actress, Sitarama Kalyana means an association with a big production house and a chance to work with director Harsha and actor Nikhil Kumar for the first time.
With Sharath Kumar coming on board, we now need to wait and watch how Harsha will make Sitarama Kalyana work with Nikhil and Rachita.
