Get set for yet another laugh riot with Jaggesh in Melkote Manja, which sees its release this week.
The multi-talented star is the director and actor of this film. He took up this movie solely for his fan Chips Krishna, who is producing the film.
What is even more surprising is that Jaggesh has not taken remuneration for his work in this movie.
In a conversation with City Express, Jaggesh tells us the story behind the making of Melkote Manja for free.
“I had heard about Krishna, who has been a fan of mine for years and who runs a home-based chips business. His passion was to make a film with me and he came in contact with a technician from our industry, who gave him false promises that he was well acquainted with me and would introduce Krishna to me.
To see that wish come true, Krishna sold his only house for one-and-a-half crore to produce the film. Sadly, he couldn’t meet me at all as the technician went missing and the issue is up before the Chamber today. It was dancer Mallur Srinivas, who narrated me the whole story.
So I decided to help him without any remuneration,” Jaggesh explains and adds, “Thanks to Rockline Venkatesh for timely help.
The actor-director reveals that he injured his leg during the shoot. “That was one of the reasons, I was out of touch from the industry for almost 10 months. And just when we were getting ready for the release, of Manja, Neer Dose was coming at the same time. I am glad the film will be out in theatres this week,” he adds.

The film also features Aindrita Ray in the female lead with Rangayana Raghu playing an important role.
