Ashika Ranganath and Gurunandan

After critical acclaim for their film 1st Rank Raju, director Naresh Kumar and actor Gurunandan are joining hands again for their next, Raju Kannada Medium. And Gurunandan knows that there will be huge expectations from the audience, and he is not compromising on anything.

Having to portray three shades of age -- a school boy, a college going youth and a software engineer, he shed 8 kgs to fit into his school going character’s image.
“That’s is the best part he underwent to get into the role and he has done it with complete dedication,” says Naresh Kumar.

Joining Gurunandan is Ashika, who had already played a college girl in Crazy Boy. “It was easy for her to get into a school girl’s character but she too underwent a diet chart to look lean,” Naresh says.
The pictures which City Express got hold of, sees the two in a very authentic avatar. “The school portions with the two has  been totally shot in Malnad, which will be seen in the first 20 minutes of the film after which the film moves to Bengaluru, where the character of Gurunandan meets a cosmopolitan girl, a role played by Avantika Shetty,” reveals Naresh.
The film produced by KA Suresh has music by Kiran Ravindranath and cinematography by Shekar Chandra.
