Ateaser from the makers of Mufti is the best gift Shivarajkumar could have asked for on his birthday. This is is exactly what he is getting. The makers of the movie will be releasing the teaser at the stroke of midnight on July 12. City Express got the poster of the movie that sees both Shivanna and Srimurali together. The two are coming as a combination for the first time. Shivanna has a unique look, unlike in his previous movies. He is bearded and is seen with a panche in the movie.
The film made by Jayanna has Shanvi Srivastava in the female lead. “The Mufti team has waited for one-and-a-half years to reveal this (Shivanna’s) look. Though the project has been slightly delayed due to various issues, we felt it was an apt time to let people have a glimpse of Shivanna’s avatar in the film,” says Sriimurali, who did not wish to reveal the star’s exact role in the movie.
“With Shivanna and I in the film, there is much anticipation. People have come up with their own theories about the storyline,” says Sriimurali. He hinted that Shivanna’s character is dedicated for a “someone” and he does all things for that ‘”someone”. “Shivanna’s life journey in the movie can be traced through this someone,” the actor adds.
He also admits that Shivanna’s role has elevated the film. “The script is like a mother and characters work accordingly. With Shivanna, the film has taken a better shape. Making the film happen is a result of the team’s effort and that includes our director Narthan, Vidya’s costumes design, Naveen’s cinematography and music by Ravi Basrur,” Sriimurali says. With just 20 per cent of shoot left, the makers are gearing up for the final phase of Mufti. They will shortly announce the release date of the film.
