Operation Alamelamma to have a sequel?

Even before Suni’s next directorial Operation Alamelamma is out in theatres, there is talk  of a sequel. This movie is generating as much interest as his debut Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story. The characters Purmy and Ananya teacher, played by Rishi and Shraddha Srinath,  and medleys composed by Judah Sandy has won over many. Today a trailer is to be released and it is sure to win them more fans because it will give a glimpse of the movie’s story.

Director Suni says, “Our previous teasers have only introduced the two characters now we will throw light on the storyline of this comic thriller.” The team is targeting July first week for the movie’s release, and towards that they are working on its promotion.

There is more credit: Operation Alamelamma will be distributed by Karthik Gowda of Hombale Films. “He watched the film before buying the rights and that has only bolstered our confidence,” says Suni.
We hear that Rishi’s acting has been applauded and it may have even won him his second project, which is to be directed by Hemanth M Rao and jointly produced by Puneeth Rajkumar and Karthik. But the official announcement on this is yet-to-be-made.

While Operation Alamelamma is yet to make it to the theatres, plans are being made for its sequel. “Rishi and I have discussed it and we are ready with a one-liner of the script,” says Suni. “It will be developed depending on what kind of response Operation Alamelamma’s gets from the audience. In fact two producers have approached us for it and we are yet to decide on who we will go with.”
