Producer Munirathna has planned to launch Kurukshetra on July 23, which also happens to be his birthday. A huge set is being created at Ramoji Studios, Hyderabad, where shooting will begin soon.
According to the production unit, it will take at least two-and-a-half months for the whole set to be created by the film’s art director, Kiran, and shooting will begin in the first week of August.
Speaking to City Express about Darshan’s test l ook photoshoot, our source says, “Darshan is busy shooting for Tarak, for which he will be travelling abroad in May and June.
Since it is a period drama, we needed to get the correct measurements to make his costumes.” Our source adds, “To play Duryodhana, Darshan will be seen in four different get-ups.”
While the team is in the process of finalising the rest of the cast, they have confirmed that music director, Hamsalekha, is on board.
