Kaalej Kumar directed by Hari Santhosh has been doing well at the box office and the good news from the makers is that it is in all likelyhood to be remade in Tamil too. The team, were in Chennai over the weekend arranged for a special screening and it was mostly attended by the top directors and few actors, along with the technicians from the Tamil industry.
Among them were director Pa Ranjith Venkat Prabhu, Rajesh of Ok Ok fame, director SS Kumaran , Nagaraj , DOP Sakthi Saravanan, music director Justin Prabhakaran , actor Kalaiyarasan. “Editors Selva Kishore and lyricist Vivega and Producer T Siva also watch Kaalej Kumar.
Everybody who watched the film said they liked the concept, especially the roles revese of father going to college and son taking up the house responsiblity,” says the director, adding, “We have had the first round of discussions with various filmmakers, who have showed interest, and a conclusion on who will be buying the remake rights will be announced soon.”
The film made under MR Pictures has RAvi Shankar, Vikky, Shruthi Samyuktha Hegde in the cast. Kaalej Kumar has music by Arjun Janya and cinematography by Azhagan.
