Muniratna Kurukshetra was officially announced on Ugadi this year and the film went on floors from August 9, and now the film is inching towards completion.

There is much excitement about the next schedule of Darshan’s 50th film, which starts from November 24. The actor as Duryodhana will be shooting a crucial episode in the epic, the gadayuddha, in which he will fight Bheema, played by Saifi Akhtar Ali.

The actor has completed the introductory fight sequence and is waiting for the producer’s to get permission from the animal welfare board to complete shoot for his first song. Then there are his swayamwara episodes and the production house estimates that his portions and the film’s shooting will be completed by December 20.

Considering that the magnum opus Kurukshetra, made in 2D and 3D, is shot in two cameras, the makers are hopeful to complete the shoot in 300 days (150 x 2 cameras). Meanwhile, we are told that around 800 people are working on the movie every day.

“While 500 people are part of the shoot, 300 and more technicians are at the edit desk, who are finishing off the post-production works that includes graphics and VFX,” says our source. “With so much of work being done day in and out, the team is hopeful to release  Muniratna Kurukshetra in  February 2018.”
The big-budget film produced by Muniratna has an ensemble cast including Arjun Sarja, Ambareesh, Ravichandran, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Nikhil Kumar, Aditi Arya, Pavithra Lokesh among many others. The film has  music by V Harikrishna and cinematography by Jai Vincent. The film has action by King Solomon of Baahubali fame with Makuta team working on the graphics.
