Vijayaprasad did have a tough time stitching together a cast for his upcoming 34:34 Ladies Tailor. Names of various actors such as Ravi Shankar Gowda, Sathish Ninasam and even Jaggesh as the movie’s hero, were doing the rounds. In fact, when producer Prasanna came on board, they had decided to go with Ravi Shankar Gowda, but nothing came of that later. Now we hear that the director is attempting the whole project afresh with another producer and male lead. Sharan will play the hero of Ladies Tailor, to be produced by KA Suresh under his banner Suresh Arts.

Vijayaprasad was particular that the lead male actor should be apt for the character and be bankable. The director and producer agree that Sharan is the right choice for this, and they are now gearing up to shoot with him. There was a bit of muddle around the choice of heroine as well. The film, with the tagline Galabe ellada putta premakathe, was scouting for a female lead who was willing to put on 120 kg for the role. Though a couple of heroines had shown interest in the movie, they were hesitant about gaining weight.

While the director initially had Srinivas Kalyana heroine Nikila in mind, the filmmakers also considered actors such as Sharmiela Mandre, before finally deciding on Sruthi Hariharan. Sruthi, we hear, was willing to put on a few kilos but she felt 120 was asking a bit too much. Then the discussions did not go too far with the then producer Prasanna nor with the director.Just when we thought that the project has been shelved, a pleasant bit of information about the project taking off with a new producer and hero comes along. Whether Sruthi Hariharan will remain the heroine for the project is yet to be known.Meanwhile, as reported earlier, this film required the hero to go bald for a few scenes. It is yet to be known whether   Sharan will agree to this clause as well.

The actor is currently waiting for work on Rambo 2 to start, and is juggling two other projects - both untitled - films with directors Yoganand Mudanna and Hari Santhosh. In the latter project, Sharan has completed 50 per cent of the shoot while, in the other with Yoganand, he has to travel abroad for a long schedule.Ladies’ Tailor has Anoop Seelin as its music director and Sugnaan as cameraman. As for Suresh, this will be his next production after Raju Kannada Medium.More details are awaited when
producer and director make a formal announcement.
