“He is a director and famous lyricist too. He feels that few songs are not reaching to his expectations. Though this has not been the case with those featuring big heroes, he is concerned about those that feature second-level heroes and upcoming talents. He feels that songs from their movies are not getting the right kind of promotion, and hence, wants to take this initiative,” our source says.

His aim is to make sure that Kannada music promotion is done the right way, and believes that digital and social media will be an excellent platform. “The music company just needs the right kind of staff, for which Bhatru has tied up with a company,” says our source.

The company will be selective in taking up audio rights. It is also said that he might pick up rights for his own film, Panchatantra. “If V Harikrishna, the music director of Panchatantra, is not taking the music rights under his label D Beats, then Bhatru will consider buying the album,” our source adds.Recently, Puneeth Rajkumar launched his own music label PRK Audio, and now Yogaraj Bhat has joined the bandwagon.
