With a number of films lined up in Kannada and other languages, Sudeep seems to be working without a break. About his Sandalwood projects, the star has confirmed that after The Villain, he will work on Phailwan and Kotigobba 3. While Sudeep is busy preparing for Krishna’s directorial, producer Surappa Babu has readied everything for Kotigobba 3, for which the muhurath has been fixed for March 2.
“It is said to be an auspicious day, so we decided to go ahead with the pooja before we start work on the film, and we will start with the song recording,” says the producer.Surappa Babu had previously produced Kotigobba 2, which was a bilingual made in Kannada and Tamil and was directed by KS Ravi Kumar.
Kotigobba 3 is to be directed by newcomer Shiva Karthik, who is currently in Bengaluru readying the script. “Right now, I can’t reveal too many details. All I can say is Kotigobba 3 will be a wholesome mass-entertainer and a treat for Sudeep fans. The film will have a big star cast, which is being finalised. Fifty per cent of the shoot will be done in European countries,” he says. Kotigobba 3 has music by Arjun Janya and cinematography by Shekar Chandru.
