Ever since the announcement of Kotigobba 3, Sudeep fans have been curious about the leading lady who will cast opposite the superstar.  Fans can now heave a sigh of relief as we have found out that Madonna Sebastian has been finalised for the role opposite Sudeep in Shiva Karthik’s directorial debut.

The Malayalam actor from Premam fame will mark her debut in Sandalwood with this film produced by Surappa Babu. Interestingly, 2018 has been seeing a number of heroines from other regional languages making their entry in to the Kannada industry. And Madonna is the latest to join the bandwagon. Going by the last few Sudeep-starrer films, it’s interesting to also note that directors are attempting to bring in fresh combinations opposite the actor. Kotigobba 2 starred Nithya Menen, Hebbuli starred Amala Paul,  Aakanksha Singh was roped in for Pailwaan and now Madonna Sebastian is been given a platform in Kotigobba 3.

The female actor who has a keen interest in music marked her Malayalam debut with Premam, which brought her into the limelight.  Soon after, she made her Tamil debut opposite Vijay Sethupathi in Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum which was a hit. In addition, she also featured in a Malayalam film, King Liar opposite Dileep, which did well at the box office. Madonna also happened to reprise her role as Celine in the Telugu remake of Premam with Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hassan. Having made an appearance in Dhanush-directorial Power Pandi, Madonna has associated with director KV Anand, and has paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi again.

With this debut in Kannada, she will join the list of heroines, who have worked in films of four languages in south India. This apart, Madonna is also shooting for an English film, Humans of Someone, which is now in the post-production stage.

Madonna will be joining the crew on June 10, and the team will be heading to Belgrade. In the capital of the southeast European country of Serbia, they will be shooting extensively in a 40-day schedule.  As earlier reported Sudeep, who has just left with one song to complete for The Villain, is juggling between Pailwaan and Kotigobba 3, and has accordingly accommodated dates for the two projects.
