Vijay Yesudas all set to debut as an actor

Popular South Indian playback singer Vijay Yesudas is all set to debut as an actor with debutant director Nandan Kaavil’s Malayalam film Avan starring Tamil-Malayalam actor Bala in the lead.

Popular South Indian playback singer Vijay Yesudas is all set to debut as an actor with debutant director Nandan Kaavil’s Malayalam film Avan starring Tamil-Malayalam actor Bala in the lead.

Avan will start shooting in a few weeks’ time. More details of the movie are awaited.

Vijay received many acting offers earlier, but this is the first time he has agreed to act in a film.

Millennium Stars, which released in 2000, had seen Vijay Yesudas’ debut as a singer with the song ‘Oh Mumbai Oh Meri Pyaari Mumbai’. He is the son of renowned singer K J Yesudas and has crooned a number of hit songs. He has also won a state award for his song, ‘Kolakuzhal’ from the film Nivedyam.

A lot of singers are turning act o r s these days. Vineeth Sreenivasan debuted in Cycle, where he played one of the main protagonists. Vineeth did his second movie role with his father in the movie Makante Achan.

Singers Jyotsna Radhakrishnan and Renjini Jose were also bitten by the acting bug.
