A Thriller Outing

Right from their school years, whenever central government employee Arjun Prabhakaran and engineering professional Gokul Ramakrishnan got together, they mostly discussed films, scripts and stories.

And, it is these brainstorming sessions that has led them into weaving 32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vakyam. The upcoming movie by the debut directors will hit the screens on Friday.

“32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vakyam will be an entertaining thriller film,” says Arjun, co-director, who draws inspiration from English movie The Number 23. “This film is just a base or a catalyst for 32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vakyam. There is an entirely different plot that runs through the film,” he adds.

The movie narrates the story of a couple who are celebrating their first wedding anniversary, and how a simple gift they receive on the anniversary changes their lives forever. “It is the story of Freddy Abraham who works in the US as an accountant and his wife Ann Mathews, who is a journalist. Freddy is on one week leave and is in Kerala to spend time with his wife,” explains Gokul. Govind Padmasoorya popularly known as GP plays the role of Freddy while Mia George essays Ann.

Ask the 23-year-old young directors whether the film will be an action-packed thriller, they say, “It is equally a family entertainer wherein we have discussed the issues that can happen in any husband-wife relation. First half is slow paced and it is only in the climax that the real story is revealed.”

On the intriguing title, they say, “It is a verse from the Bible which says ‘Be sure your sin will find you out’. And the title has much importance to the film.”

Lal who dons the role of a media person plays a pivotal role in the film. “He plays Ravi Uncle, a common friend of the couple and colleague of Mia’s character in the film,” says Gokul. Other actors include Sasi Kalinga in the role of a college peon, P Balachandran as doctor, Arjun Nandakumar as a college student and Sunil Sugatha and Kalabhavan Rahman.

The music, including two songs and one promotional song, has been composed by Bijibal. The promotional song which is creating waves in TV channels is crooned by GP.

The camera is by Jemin Jom Ayyineth and editing is by Achu Vijayan. The film is produced under the banner 7G Cinemas and will release on June 19.
