Says Adil Ibrahim, who is a familiar face for TV viewers in Kerala, “On mini-screen we are like clowns. Between us, we are really great friends. So, when we were given the scripts, I couldn’t imagine romancing Pearle, even for the sake of acting.

However, the script was great and both of us went ahead with the project. In the end, we both are glad that we did the movie,” shares Adil, who received his first major break through Nirnayakam.

“The audience has accepted me as an entertainer. With Kappiri Thuruth, I want to shed my one-dimensional image and prove that I am also an actor,” says the engineer-turned TV artist.

Adil, who is from Tirur, shares that his love for Sufi songs and ghazals drew him to the movie, a music thriller which will revisit the songs and era of singer H Mehboob.
