Queen remake not shelved?

News of Tamannaah’s declaration that the remake of Queen in South Indian languages has been shelved, was written about extensively.

However, Tamannaah’s PR manager now denies that the actress ever made any statement to that effect. “She was supposed to do the Tamil and Telugu versions, while Amala Paul and Parul Yadav were to do it in Malayalam and Kannada.

Talks were going on with the original producer Manu, but then Tamannaah got busy with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Recently, Thiagarajan has acquired the remake rights from Manu. At a recent press event, when Tamannaah was asked about the remake, she simply said that she had no knowledge of any further developments.”

Thiagarajan, for his part, had come out stating that regardless of whether Tamannaah would be doing the role, the project would hit the floors in May. He had also reportedly mentioned that the team couldn’t manage the remuneration expected by the actress.
