Ranjith Shankar still in awe of ‘Raman’s Eden’ in vagamon

The movie was shot in a 300-acre resort in Wagamon

The first-look and songs of the Kunchacko Boban-starrer Ramante Eden Thottam is already out and we can’t help but be mesmerised by the picturesque locales.

But, director Ranjith Shankar says it was after a long search that he found the breathtaking location: a 300-acre resort at Vagamon. “The movie portrays two extremes, a view from an apartment balcony in bustling Kochi and a forest-like location. We wanted a place that is unparalleled in its beauty since the story line dealt with nature. Though we couldn’t find one initially, we began the shoot anyway.
That’s  when I heard about a resort Vagamon Heights. What we saw there it was breath-taking. The place is over 300 acres and was so untouched by human  elements. It was like the place was destined to be in my movie,” says the director.

He added that the location was so perfect that the team only had to do minor changes to the place.
“There is a certain aesthetics to the place. The movie will show it in all its beauty. While there is a romantic angle in the movie, the real love is the protagonists love for the place, which is his Eden,” says the director.
Ramante Eden Thottan, which will hit the screens on May 12, will have Kunchacko Boban playing a resort owner.Anu Sithara plays his lady love.
