Prayaga can’t stop gushing over Mumtaz

She is thrilled to have played Mumtaz, the protagonist inViswasapoorvam Mansoor

Prayaga Martin might have moved on from the sets of Viswasapoorvam Mansoor to that of Pokkiri Simon, but the lovely lass just can’t get over Mumtaz, the character she played in veteran director P T Kunju Muhammed’s next.

“I think I am blessed to be part of such a strong subject so early in my career. Mumtaz is a special character. She is someone who has to go through a lot in her life. But, how she conducts herself during a crisis is amazing. I cannot thank P T Kunju Muhammed Sir enough for believing in me,” she adds.
The actor says that Viswasapoorvam Mansoor is unlike the director’s other movies.
“P T Sir is always known for making strong movies, but this might be his best attempt at a more commercial venture. Viswasapoorvam  Mansoor  has a lot of commercial elements and it is such a beautiful movie. However, the highlight is its strong romantic angle. In that sense, you can call it a romantic movie,” she said.

Prayaga added that her pairing with Roshan Mathew, who plays Mansoor, has come out well.
She is also vocal about how she bonded with Asha Sarath and Zareena Wahab, who play important roles. “They are my mothers, both on and off screen. Their professionalism is exemplary,” she added.
Though she has completed the shoot, she has some post-production work left. Viswasapoorvam Mansoor’ is likely to hit the screens this July.

Prayaga has also completed the shoot of Ramaleela, where she will be playing  Helena, the lady love of Dileep. “I cannot reveal much about my character. However, it is an integral part of the storyline,” she says. According to Prayaga, she was inspired by Dileep while working with him.
“Those who expect this to be the usual Dileep flick are in for a surprise. This is a fast-paced political thriller and it has one of the best performances of Dileep in recent years. Watching him act as Raman MLA was a great experience. I was so inspired by his work that I have started looking at my craft in a different way,” she says.
