Seems like Biju Menon is enjoying playing a villager. His next, Rakshadhikari Baiju, which has him playing a local club secretary, will be on the lines of his latest funnyman avatar. The movie, directed by Ranjan Pramod, is a comedy set in the backdrop of a village called Kumbalam, where Biju lives.
“The whole movie revolves around Biju and it is through his perspective that we see the life in Kumbalam,” says Ranjan. The director says that though the subject is treated in a light vein, the movie looks into the issue of development in villages, as well.
“But, treat it as a fun ride and it is up to the viewer to see the message or not. Basically, it is meant to make the people laugh,” says Ranjan. Hannah Reji Koshy plays his wife. The other highlight is that Biju will play the father to a teenager.
