Biju Menon and Sunny Wayne to play buddies in Rosapoo

Just like the Biju Menon-Kunchacko Boban combo, this is another one that can leave the audience in splits.

Just like the Biju Menon-Kunchacko Boban combo, this is another one that can leave the audience in splits. This time, Biju Menon will get together with Sunny Wayne for a buddy movie titled Rosapoo, that will go on the floors by August.

The movie, directed by debutant Vinu Joseph, will have the actors playing  characters in two different time periods, 2001 and 2017. “Rosapoo is an entertainer. It is a fun-filled ride. The story is set in 2001 and 2017 and hence will have the actors playing two phases of their lives,” says Vinu Joseph.
He adds: “Rosapoo is high on humour but not the slapstick kind. It is a realistic movie and tracks the friendship between the two main characters.”

Rosapoo will also have Soubin Shaheer in a prominent role. “Soubin’s  character is different. He is a steady presence throughout the movie and is equal to the two leads,” adds Vinu
Joseph.
According to the director, the movie is every bit colourful like its name. “Each part of the movie has a different flavour. When we show 2001, the colour and feel will be different to that of 2017.  A prominent portion of Rosapoo will be shot in Chennai and this will have a Tamil flavour,” he adds. The costumes will also differ for each time period.
Another highlight of the movie is that it will have 142 characters. “Every character has a significance in Rosapoo. They aren’t passing faces. But, other than six or seven people, most of them are newbies,” he added.

But, does the script offers a platform for the Biju Menon-Sunny Wayne combo to make a crackling apprearence? “Very much.
The movie is about their bonding and their chemistry will surprise everyone,” he added.

‘Thrilled to be sharing screen with Biju Menon’ Sunny Wayne says he is excited to be sharing screen space with Biju Menon. “We have never acted together. But, we share a great friendship off screen. So, I am excited to be part of the project. For me, that is the best point about the movie. Biju Menon is having a great time in his career. So, I  expect to learn and experience a lot,” says Sunny Wayne.
The actor who is currently shooting for Pokkiri Simon in Thiruvananthapuram, says that the story of Rosapoo thrilled the actor in him.
