To discover new voices in cinema, Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) along with its member union FEFKA Directors Union, is conducting a  national short film festival.


“FEFKA wishes to discover emerging talents from across our country. We  anticipate the young world will join us in this creative venture and be part  of a progressive cultural commune that would define our times,” said B Unnikrishnan, FEFKA general secretary, and G S Vijayan, general secretary,  FEFKA directors.          


An eminent panel of celebrated filmmakers and cine technicians in Indian cinema would evaluate the works of art. Films judged first, second and third  would receive prize money of Rs One lakh, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000  respectively, along with the certificate of merit and an award statuette.


Short films, with any theme and duration  restricted to 30 minutes can be  sent both in English and regional languages. All films should be English subtitled, except the English and Malayalam entries. 


New entries and films already released can participate in this competition.
This competition is open to general public, students from the film  institute, campuses, and NRI’s making it a truly golden platform to exhibit  their work.


The last date to receive application at the FEFKA office is June 15 ,2017.
