It’s time for another Kanimangalam Jagannathan or a Poovalli Induchoodan. Shaji Kailas, the man behind these iconic Mohanlal characters, will get back with the actor to make another mass entertainer that can send Mohanlal fans into a tizzy.

According to Shaji, Mohanlal will be the lead character in his next that will go on the floors this year. The action family drama will be scripted by Ranji Panicker.

“I am getting back with Mohanlal after a gap of eight years. The movie will be made under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas and will have Mohanlal in a mass avatar,” he says.

The director says the film will have the flavours of his superhit works, Aram Thampuram and Narasimham. “When I get together with Mohanlal, that is what the fans expect from us. As a director, I will give them what they want,” he adds.

The remaining cast and crew will be decided later. “Ranji is working on the script. It will be finished soon and the shoot will start this year itself,” he adds.

On the gap that occurred in his career, Shaji says he was waiting for a great script to make a comeback.
“I wanted a mass script. When Renji expressed his willingness, I was more than happy,” he added. Shaji had earlier worked with Mohanlal for Natturajavu, Ali Bhai, Baba Kalyani and Red Chillies, besides the blockbusters.
