The Malayalam superstar has recently proved again that he is a superstar in pulling in big numbers for his films.

If his colossal hit 'Pulimurugan' had made record for becoming the highest grossing Malayalam ever, it seems Mohanlal's upcoming thriller, 'Villain' is to follow the suit.

According to a Manorama report, the Malayalam-Tamil-Telugu trilingual  in which Mohanlal stars alongside Vishal and Hansika Motwani had already collected Rs 3 crore as Hindi dubbing rights and now, the movie's overseas satellite rights has been sold for 2.5 crore.

The record held by Pulimurugan was for 1.75 crore.

'Villain' also stars Manju Warrier, Raashi Khanna, Siddique, Ranji Panikker, Aju Varghese and Chemban Vinod in major roles.

Directed by B Unnikrishnan, 'Villain' is slated for an October 27 release.
